MOLDVOLT Drawout Low Voltage Switchgear Cabinet — 380V, Up to 3150A, IEC 61439
MOLDVOLT is a drawout low voltage switchgear cabinet engineered for 50Hz, 380V distribution systems. Rated current reaches 3150A with a busbar short-circuit withstand of 50kA, making it suitable for power plants, large industrial facilities, and commercial buildings where continuity of supply and ease of maintenance are the primary requirements.
MAIN STRUCTURE
The cabinet is built on high-strength steel sections assembled with a modular design, ensuring both structural integrity and flexible configuration. The top-mounted busbar system is secured by flame-retardant supports and rated to 50kA short-circuit withstand. Each functional circuit sits in its own withdrawable drawer unit — either 1/2, 1, 1.5, or 2-unit size — which operates in three defined positions: Connect, Test, and Disconnect. A reliable mechanical interlock prevents the drawer from being moved under load and prevents the device from closing between positions. Protection rating ranges from IP30 to IP54, adaptable to environments from clean indoor control rooms to dust-prone industrial sites.
WE BUILD TO INTERNATIONAL DRAWOUT STANDARDS
MOLDVOLT is engineered to the same international drawout switchgear standards as 8PT, OKKEN, and Blokset. The self-developed drawer mechanisms, interlocks, and telescopic rails form a platform compatible with multiple drawout cabinet architectures — meaning the same components that build a MOLDVOLT cabinet can also support a customer producing their own brand under 8PT- or OKKEN-style specifications.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR A PANEL BUILDER
You do not need to develop your own drawer mechanism. We supply complete production documentation — GA drawings, BOM, wiring diagrams, and QC checklists — alongside 2,000+ proprietary components that cover every precision part the open market cannot supply consistently. Add local sheet metal and labour, and you are building a finished withdrawable cabinet under your own brand with full IEC 61439 verification evidence.
PRIMARY APPLICATIONS
- Main power distribution boards in power plants and grid substations.
- Industrial facility distribution: cement, steel, mining, petrochemical, water treatment, food processing.
- Commercial building main switchboards: offices, hotels, hospitals, airports, shopping centres.
- Motor control centres for pump, fan, conveyor, and compressor feeders.
- Infrastructure projects: water treatment plants, pumping stations, desalination facilities.
- Generator and standby power switchboards.
- Solar PV plant LV collection and auxiliary distribution boards.
- Any installation requiring withdrawable feeder units that can be replaced without a board shutdown.
TYPICAL BOARD CONFIGURATIONS
- Incomer section with air circuit breaker (up to 3150A), metering and protection.
- Outgoing drawer feeders: motor starters (DOL, star-delta, soft starter), distribution feeders, and plain feeders.
- Mixed drawer sizes in one section: 1/2-unit for small circuits, 1-unit for standard motors, 1.5 and 2-unit for larger loads.
WHO BUYS THIS
Panel builders and switchgear assemblers producing for domestic markets; electrical distributors supplying EPC contractors and end users; project contractors sourcing boards for specific industrial or infrastructure works. Most buyers take the CKD component and drawing package rather than finished cabinets, removing the freight cost on imported assembled volume.

WE GIVE YOU EVERYTHING TO BUILD IT YOURSELF
From complete production documentation to core component kits and hands-on training — MOLDVOLT is designed to be produced locally, under your own brand.
1. COMPLETE PRODUCTION DOCUMENTATION
GA drawings (EN/IEC standard), BOM, wiring diagrams, QC checklists, and assembly guides — supplied with every order. Your engineering team works from verified drawings, not from reverse-engineering a competitor's board.
2. CKD CORE COMPONENT KITS — 2,000+ SELF-DEVELOPED PARTS
We manufacture over 2,000 proprietary components backed by 38+ patents: drawer mechanisms, interlocks, telescopic rails, isolating contacts, busbar supports, insulators, cable clamps, and cabinet hardware. Buy the kit flat-packed, add local sheet metal and labour — the freight bill collapses. A South African distributor cut total cost by 40% and lead time from 3 months to 5 weeks using this model.
3. THREE TRAINING MODES
On-site coaching in 36 countries, in-plant factory workshops, and a 24/7 accessible online video library. Your assembly team learns frame build, drawer alignment, busbar torquing, interlock verification, and routine testing — on your own equipment, at your own pace.
4. CROSS-PLATFORM DRAWER MECHANISM PLATFORM
Our self-developed drawer mechanisms are compatible with multiple drawout cabinet architectures — MOLDVOLT, 8PT-style, OKKEN-style. You can use the same component platform to build your own brand, regardless of which cabinet standard your customer specifies.
5. OEM / ODM — YOUR BRAND ON THE DOOR
Nameplate, colour, layout, packaging, and documentation to your specification. Non-disclosure agreements and territory protection available.
6. AFTER-SALES SUPPORT
24/7 remote troubleshooting, rapid spare part replacement, and dedicated after-sales support. Spare parts held to the same drawing revision for the life of the design — a drawer bought today fits a cabinet built five years from now.
7. GLOBAL COMPLIANCE
UL, CE, TUV, and other international certifications — your products meet world-market standards.
8. COMMERCIAL TERMS
FOB, CFR, CIF, DDP, Ex-Works. Trade Assurance, T/T, L/C. Sample and pilot batch orders accepted before volume commitment.
QUALITY CONTROL — IEC 61439 VERIFIED ASSEMBLY
A certified circuit breaker does not make a verified assembly. IEC 61439 verifies the complete cabinet — enclosure, busbar system, internal separation, temperature rise, short-circuit withstand, and IP rating — as a system. Every MOLDVOLT cabinet is verified at the design level and inspected at the unit level before shipment.
DESIGN VERIFICATION
Strength of materials and parts, degree of protection, clearance and creepage distances, protection against electric shock, incorporation of switching devices, internal electrical circuits and connections, terminals for external conductors, dielectric properties, temperature-rise limits, short-circuit withstand strength, and electromagnetic compatibility — all verified to IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-2.
ROUTINE INSPECTION — EVERY CABINET BEFORE SHIPMENT
1. Enclosure: dimensions, squareness, door alignment, panel flatness, weld and bolt integrity.
2. Surface coating: powder coat thickness, adhesion test, RAL colour verification, salt spray on batch samples.
3. Busbar system: phase sequence and colour, bar section against drawing, every joint torqued and marked.
4. Protective circuit: PE bar and door bonding continuity tested at specified test current, resistance recorded.
5. Wiring: verified against schematic, terminal tightness, ferrule and labelling, bending radius, segregation.
6. Dielectric test: power-frequency withstand at rated test voltage for one minute; insulation resistance recorded.
7. Drawer mechanical check: three-position operation and interlock function verified on every drawer.
8. Functional test: protection, indication, metering, control logic, and communication where fitted.
9. Degree of protection: gasket, gland plate and door seal verified against stated IP rating.
10. Final inspection: nameplate data, circuit labelling, drawing pack, packing integrity.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
ISO 9001 quality management. Incoming material inspection with certificate traceability, in-process inspection at frame and busbar stages, final inspection before packing. Non-conformances recorded, root-caused, and closed.
